Personality.
Rev is a ghostly creature, quiet and eerily intelligent. He's oddly still, and generally just seems to be watching the things that happen around him. Unlike many young horses, he doesn't react first - he tends to watch as things explode around him, as if he isn't even bothered. For a long time, it made some of the staff wonder if there was perhaps something not quite right with him. However, he picks things up so incredibly quickly that there definitely isn't anything wrong with his mind. He doesn't associate with other horses, and will basically run off from any group that he's forced to be around. He's only mean to them if he's cornered, but really he doesn't want to fight. He's just as happy off in a paddock on his own, no other horses in sight. He's okay with humans, though, which is something everyone is forever grateful for. He'll trot straight up to the fence for any passers-by, ears pricked and nickering. He does have a tendency to get overexcited at times and nip and bite, but he never uses his size to push anyone around.

Rev doesn't like to be around other horses, so he generally needs to be loaded last into the gate. When they open, he's off like someone is, quite literally, chasing at his tail. He can grab and keep the lead readily if it's available, wanting to be a safe distance between himself and the others. In the stretch, he will fight wildly to keep them from getting too close to him, and his stamina and determination match well for a win. If his jockey doesn't feel like he'll have a clear lead, the safest bet is to check him at the start of the race so he falls to last, again clear of others. He's quite content to run there until he's asked to get a move on. As soon as he gets one horse behind him, he kicks into an overdrive, wanting to get up to the front and clear and away.
