Personality.
With an intimidating name like Crimson Fatalis, you would expect this boy to be something intimidating and this fire colored chestnut definitely looks the part standing at a massive 17 hands, but that would be a mistake. Sith is the most well-behaved boy on campus. He has perfect ground manners and the vet and farrier always look forward to attending the gentleman of the barn. He simply loves social interactions, whether they are a horse, a human or the barn cat, he doesn't care. He can't help, but be in the thick of things and if he feels like he's missing out on something he can pitch a fit until he feels included. We quickly learned to put more than one lock on his stall door because the little Houdini kept slipping out of his stall in order to hang out with the rest of the horses in the barn. We caught him just in time once before he let out another horse from their stall. He's obviously intelligent and determined. Once this guy makes his mind up about something he will use all of his resources to accomplish his goals. He loves to please his rider and if there is a bond with his rider, he will work even harder to make that person proud of him.

On the track Sith is on top of his game. As soon as he steps onto the scene, Sith is on full alert. He is naturally a very social creature and as a result he's extremely intuitive about reading other horses. He will use this to investigate the competition and to get a feel for how to best come out on top. When Sith breaks from the gate there is no other distraction possible for him because his sole focus is winning. Unlike some, he doesn't charge to the front and fight and he doesn't hide in the back to strike later. Sith loves to be in the middle of things and on the track he isn't any different. Here is where his intelligence and size come into play. When running in the thick of things, he's calculating and preserving his speed for just the right moment, when the leaders falter and the closers charge. His end speed is blindingly fast and his reflexes are reactionary. When he makes his bid, he's all in and he will fight to the finish. There isn't a horse who has more heart than Sith.
